Nikki Ditrolio

With a classical dance background I have always had a passion for movement. After many years at stage school, performing with dance and theatre companies I decided to take a break to study graphic design. This led to a decade of working in the publishing industry with dance classes becoming an antidote to my desk job. It was only a matter of time before I returned to a movement based career. My Pilates journey began in 2006 and following a basic certification I continued my training with PATSPILATES, completing my Diploma in 2009. I now consider this training school my Pilates home and broaden and refresh my knowledge through regular contact and workshops.
During the Covid-19 pandemic I was able to spend more time on my own Pilates practice, deepening my knowledge through lessons with master teachers from across the pond. My weekly Zoom sessions with the wonderful Sonjé Mayo, a teacher from Nashville, USA will now continue indefinitely. I thank her for keeping me motivated, strong and inspired during this challenging time.
Through the Pilates method I have maintained a balanced body which is supple and strong, improving all aspects of my life. I appreciate this even more as a busy mother in my forties and feel stronger in both my mind and body than ever before.
I thrive on challenges and tailor my sessions to each client’s individual needs and goals. I teach with patience, enthusiasm and a well trained eye. What I love most is hearing a client vocalise that they feel so much better on leaving the studio than when they arrived.
In my spare time you'll find me at 'The North London Boxing Club' or enjoying a run with my husband around our local park. We're often accompanied by our son riding his bike, shouting encouragement or just laughing at his parents!
